Formato

Marsèll presents Formato, an evolving project that explores observation as both an aesthetic and an interpretive practice.

Through photography, artists investigate the relationship between space, form, and perception, shaping an intimate landscape defined not only by places, but also by the traces left within them. The title alludes to the photographic format, the framework that shapes perception, and evokes the idea that every vision is a choice, a way of interpreting reality. The aim is not to document, but to listen, to experience, and to interpret each place through one’s own sensibility. The photographers invited by Marsèll share images that express their way of seeing the world, visions that emerge from their dialogue with places and people, as well as from the emotions and intentions that drive them. Each contribution to Formato is both an exercise in attention and an act of personal expression. For Marsèll, a long-time supporter of contemporary art, Formato marks another step in a journey guided by a simple conviction that engaging creative minds is the best way to interpret the complexities of the present and to envision the possibilities of the future.
